Biography

Rob Weiner serves as a subject librarian for the Texas Tech University Library who specializes in art, sequential art, music and film. He is currently co-editing a book about transgressive exploitation and art cinema and plans the release of another book covering a Marvel staple: Captain America.

His latest book “Marvel Graphic Novels and Related Publications: An Annotated Guide,” is an exhaustive 385-page reference work on the universe of Spidey, Iron Man and The Fantastic Four.

Zombies and Horror Movies

Rob Weiner is a pop-culture guru and horror buff who can speak about horror in movies, literature and comic books – his forthcoming book about Captain America actually has an essay on zombies in Marvel Comics – and the use of dark and satanic imagery by heavy metal bands.
